SERVPRO of McAllen received an emergency call from one of school districts.

The school have more 10 classrooms affected, Our teams were dispatched immediately after the received the phone call.

Our professional team training in commercial losses arrived to the school and find standing water in some rooms and big amount of contents affected by the water.

The first step was figure out the best way to attack the mitigation process with out  affect the daily flow from the school.

After talk with the people in charge,Our Production manager start the extraction on several rooms,the rest of team start moving and blocking contents,trying to minimize the secondary damages.

This water take 3 teams for six hours to mitigate the entire damaged area, SERVPRO of McAllen used more 170 pieces of drying equipment on this project.

We received a call from the homeowner in which they advised that she had a water loss in which affected approximately forty percent of the home. 

Our technicians proceeded with removing all affected materials in which consisted of baseboards, drywall, and paneling. After all the demolition was complete, the technicians installed the necessary drying equipment. 

We were able to deliver the home back to preloss conditions in matter of 4 days. 

We received a call for a water loss in McAllen, TX at 5:20 PM. In which a hotel was affected due to the sprinkler system going off and affecting 5 suites. 

Our technicians, proceeded with extracting all the standing water from the rooms affected. The drying process began with removal of the baseboard and drilling holes to create cavities for drying. SERVPRO of Mcallen received a call in Saturday night, the customer experienced a water loss in the building, most the seventy percent of the structure was affected.

Our production manager needed of 3 teams of 2 techs and 6 hours to produce this job.

This Costumer received  the results of Air quality test ,the counting of spores was not acceptable for the requirements of the Building.

With no visual damage,Our Technicians proceed to install plastic contentment and Air scrubbers (HEPA).

The last step was clean the entire structure, After 5 days , the structure was re-tested and the Building reach the requirements in the air quality.

In September 2017, Hurricane Harvey passed through Texas, affecting the Corpus and surrounding areas, SERVPRO of McAllen assisted the residents with the emergency services.

This costumer was affected for strong winds, loosing almost completely  the roof shingles. In consequence the costumer have several water infiltration on the entire house. After  quick inspection, Our lead tech decided to remove all the ceiling and insulation in the attic.In the living room the protocol indicates removing all the carpets, due to the time that had elapsed since the event happened.

We need 6 technicians for eight hours to complete this entire project.

In September 2017, Hurricane Harvey passed through Texas, affecting the Port Aransas area, SERVPRO of McAllen assisted with the healing of this city.

  Our company assisted customers who were affected by the flood in their first floor and by wind on the second floor. Our team did a flood cut 4' high, demolition of wood floors, carpet, insulation and cabinets. After the demolition, antimicrobial was applied and drying equipment was installed. Due to the water infiltration from roof, our team as well removed all the blown-in insulation in attic space.

After 4 days of drying, our Water restoration Team verified that the structure has reached the material drying goal.

Our company received a call from an insurance agent who had a client who had suffered smoke damage in their belongings.

SERVPRO of McAllen performed a visual inspection and concluded that the best option was to perform a pack out and transport everything to our facilities to do a professional cleaning and deodorization.

Using specialized software, a detailed inventory was carried out with images, and the furniture was packed for protection. One of the most important steps that are performed is a deodorization by means of activated oxygen (ozone), which may require more applications depending on severity. In our facilities, we used the most modern method in the market such as ultrasonic; Esporta Washing System to carry out proper cleaning of the contents.

It took our team approximately two weeks to conclude cleaning and deliver the client’s belongings.

In the end, the Agent and Client were satisfied by the final results.  

SERVPRO of Mcallen responded to an emergency call about fire damage.

SERVPRO arrived and found the entire structure affected by soot.         

Our team started the services with the pack out of the contents and moved them to our storage facility. Afterwards, under the instructions of the adjuster we proceeded to demolish the drywall, cabinets, insulation and ceramic tile in the entire home.                                                               

The demolition took us approximately three weeks to finished; the next steps was deodorization and seal the stud work with 2 coats of shellac. Immediately after this, we start the re-construction.

The construction is currently in process, the supervisor is expected to deliver this project in 4 weeks. 

SERVPRO of McAllen received a request to perform an inspection on a commercial building, as per client, the employees were suffering from different types of allergies and the company wanted to know what may be the cause of this. 

Our lead Technician proceeded with checking any discoloration and/or stains over walls or ceilings. The second step was taking moisture content readings and checking the relative humidity in the building. Last step was inspecting duct work and coil of HVAC system.

We found the structure and humidity within acceptable standards. We recommended the duct work and coil a simple clean up. 

This job was scheduled after hours, so that we do not disturb the normal day-to-day operations. After 3 nights SERVPRO of McAllen completed the job. 

August 25^th 2017, when Harvey made landfall along the Middle Texas Coast. Affecting Corpus Christi and the surrounding areas.

SERVPRO of McAllen responded to this event and attended a commercial building in the Rockport area.

This site was affected with 12" of water inside the structure. After consulting with the customer and adjusters, Our lead technician prepared the demolition and drying plan.

Our team of seven technicians began removing glued down wood floor in the entire store. Secondly, we began removing baseboards and wood panels installed over the walls. Lastly, we cut 4' high of drywall across the perimeter of the affected areas, which also included insulation removal.

After the complete demolition was complete, our team continued with the cleanup, and disinfection. After all the needed disinfection was completed, we installed all the necessary drying equipment needed to successfully restore the building.  

SERVPRO of McAllen performed an inspection in an empty building that had previously been a hospital. Due to problems with the roof system, water was leaking into different areas and levels of the building, for several period of time.
SERVPRO made mold remediation in 60% of the structure, the process lasted more than 60 days to be finished.

In 2012, a storm hit which caused damages throughout the Rio Grande Valley. This storm was very historic, especially for McAllen.  Large non-stop hail and wind gusts more than 65mph, for only over a period of 30 minutes. SERVPRO of McAllen received a call for a fire inspection at an office in the school district of Rio Grande, Texas. When arriving, the first thing that was found was that the entire building of approximately 15,000 sq ft was affected by smoke, after discussing the cleanup strategy with the person in charge, the mitigation works were approved and our team started all the logistics necessary to start the job.

The 2013 Colorado floods was a natural disaster occurring in the United States which impacted Colorado heavily. Starting on September 9, 2013 a slow-moving cold front stalled over Colorado, clashing with warm humid monsoonal air from the south. The customer wake up on Sunday morning with two inches of water in His residence,Our techs starting the mitigation with the extraction of the water, then removing baseboards and laminate floor.

The last step was setup all the necesary equipment for the  proper drying process.

SERVPRO of McAllen received over the weekend a call from City of McAllen to attend a water loss in the basement of the Bridge administration offices, Our technicians quickly responded and found the basement full of water and mud, the source was a failure of the sump pump.

The team started with extraction of the Category 3 water that exceeded one inch on a majority of the affected area. Afterwards, we finished the extraction of the water. We began with the removal of the mud, this took three technicians approximately 2 hours to complete this process.

One of Our Carriers called us to attend an Emergency water loss in Mission,TX.  The techs arrived at the residence and started a detailed inspection.  The source was a Busted Water Heater localized in the Attic, Affecting Kitchen, Laundry, Master closet and Master bed.
