Flood Damage in Port Aransas, Texas
In August , Storm Harvey made landfall on the Texas Coast, dropping torrential and unprecedented amounts of rainfall over the Lone Star state.
Due this amount of rain, some areas of Corpus Christi and surrounding areas was under water. This home lost part of the roof affecting the ceilings on the second floor and all the first floor was flooded with 3 feet of water. After the first visual inspection, SERVPRO Of McAllen decided to start the mitigation with the removal of blown in insulation upstairs, since we use the insulation removal machine (Vacuum insulation system), that process took us just 4 hours.
The second step was removal of the floor coverings, carpets in the second floor and laminate downstairs, Our technicians continued cutting drywall at 4' and removing the cabinets.
The last step was the disinfection and the drying. We applied 2 passes of antimicrobial on the entire structure. Our techs setup air movers and Dehu's at that point. After 3 days the structure reached the drying goals and we removed the equipment placed.
