Mold remediation in Edinburg,Texas

This customer called SERVPRO of McAllen to do an inspection; The customer had allergy problems and identified a musty smell in his master bathroom.

Our Technicians started with a visual inspection in the bathroom and master bedroom. We visually observed a discoloration or some dark spots, that has the characteristics of mold. When we did not find anything visual, we proceeded to remove some baseboard and toe kick in the vanity.

In the vanity cabinet was where suspicious spots were found, immediately this was reported. And so the protocol required was started.

Under this protocol the first thing is to isolate the contaminated area and install an air scrubber with HEPA filter. Next, was start with the demolition of cabinets and counter tops, finding the back walls with growth. Our technicians removed drywall, insulation and install dehumidification to restore the normal levels of humidity in the structure.

Last step was to apply a sealant to the stud work with antimicrobial solution, after 3 days of work the structure was ready for the clearance testing.
